Electric Cars: 'Technical and cultural shift needed'
James May, who used to present the TV motoring show Top Gear, says more infrastructure is needed in order for there "to be a massive technical and cultural shift" to electric cars.
Mr May, who's now on Grand Tour with Jeremy Clarkson, told Radio 4's World at One programme that currently there are too many technicalities that need sorting out before more people will buy this kind of car. He said:
"Do we have replacement batteries on the cars and can the national grid cope with the increased use of electricity?"
