Model Lola Ogunyemi has defended the Dove advert, posted on Dove's US Facebook page, which caused an internet backlash after it appeared to show her turning white after using the body wash.

Unilever, the company that owns the Dove brand, apologised for any offence caused and pulled the posting.

Lola, who has a Nigerian heritage, but was born in London and raised in the US, spoke to Focus on Africa's Victoria Uwonkunda about the controversial ad campaign.
