South Africa: Water donations soar after social media campaign
Talita van der Heever heard the news that Cape Town was running out of water and wanted to do something. So she set up a social media group asking people she knew to help. All they had to do was donate two five-litre jugs of water and offer access to drop-off points in the city. Well her campaign went viral with businesses and groups offering to help. She told the 麻豆社's Audrey Brown why she was so moved by the news that the taps would soon run dry in Cape Town.
