Winnie Mandela: 'A bulwark against state terror'
A friend and spokesperson for Winnie Mandela has paid tribute to the woman who he says took on the might of the South African apartheid state and could not be intimidated.
Victor Dlamini, who received the news of Mrs Mandela's death while in New York, said she inspired generations with her courage.
He told Focus on Africa's Bola Mosuro history tends to favour males, but he has a sense history will be kind to Mrs Mandela.
