Nigeria鈥檚 new heroine-Boma Goodhead
Boma Goodhead is being hailed as a fearless female lawmaker in Nigeria - in the mould of the man who tried to stop tanks from rolling into Tiananmen Square in China in 1989, or Iesha Evans, the young woman who stood firm against a line of armed police in the US two years ago during a Black Lives Matter protest.
Last week she refused to be intimidated by armed security agents who had laid siege to the Nigerian parliament. The Hon. Goodhead insisted on her right to enter the parliament building and even challenged the masked agents to shoot her.
So what made Boma Goodhead so angry that she was prepared to be shot?
Audrey Brown found out.
