The cost of living in a landslide prone area
A landslide in the Mt. Elgon region of Eastern Uganda which killed over 43 people last week when a river burst its banks, happened in the same district where a 2010 a landslide killed over 100 people. Despite calls for people to be relocated to safer areas, many have not been moved. The 麻豆社's Patience Atuhaire has visited the area and has been hearing how the latest disaster unfolded.
