Buddhism with an African flavour
Steven Kabogozza founded Uganda鈥檚 first Buddhist temple in 2005. The Venerable Bhante Buddharakkita, as his followers call him, was raised Catholic but converted to Buddhism while a student in India.
He is also the author of Planting Dhamma Seeds: The Emergence of Buddhism in Africa. He spoke to Focus on Africa鈥檚 Leslie Goffe in New York.
