The Gambia to release self-confessed assassins
Minister of Justice of The Gambia Abubacarr Tambadou tells why he's decided to release three self-confessed assassins who operated during the Yahya Jammeh regime. Arrested in 2017, the three subsequently agreed to give testimony to the ongoing Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission, something that, according to the Minister, helped to explain "the gory details of how innocent Gambians were killed by our security services."
