Kenya discusses tougher punishment for 'deadbeat' parents
Should lawmakers introduce stiffer punishments for parents who don't support their children? Senator Irungu Kang'ata believes so. He's presenting an amendment to Kenya's Children's Act that would see parents who fall foul of this law punished with a range of sanctions. So is this just about so-called 'deadbeat' dads who have abandoned their kids, or does the net go wider?
