Boxer Deontay Wilder says his ancestors spur him on
Heavyweight boxer Deontay Wilder draws inspiration from his ancestors and says he can feel their presence when he is in the ring. The American has taken an African ancestry test and knows his exact African heritage - but does not plan to reveal it just yet.
Wilder faces British opponent Tyson Fury in a rematch for the WBC heavyweight title in Las Vegas on Saturday, 22 February. He says it was his ancestors that helped him to overcome Cuban Luis Ortiz last year and win that fight with a knockout
