Phillipe Nover: From the UFC to the fight against COVID-19
Former UFC fighter Phillipe Nover tells us about his switch from the UFC octagon to the intensive care wards of a New York hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 36-year-old had a 14 year career as a cardiology nurse and has been working shifts where its urgently needed - in the intensive care wards and as part of the Emergency Care team of one New York hospital, as well as they grapple to try and save lives.
Speaking with 麻豆社 Sport's Maz Farookhi, he says he's using his experience, his mentality honed from being in the octagon in this fight now on the medical frontline.
