Nigerian writer Innocent Chizaram Ilo wins commonwealth prize
Lagos-based author, 23 year-old Innocent Chizaram Ilo, is the African regional winner of the Commonwealth Short Story Prize 2020. His winning story, When a Woman Renounces Motherhood, is painful story recounted by Nwakego about her mother's plight and what she endures at the hands of her husband and the community at large. He told Bola Mosuro about the story.
