Campaigning for free medical examinations for rape survivors
Popular Ghanaian actress Ama K. Abebrese has been campaigning for free medical examinations for rape survivors, which they have to undergo to press charges. Currently vicitms have to pay between 87 and 300 US dollars. The high fees mean many are unable to seek criminal justice. Ama's online campaign has already garnered over 12,000 signatures. Bola Mosuro has been talking to the actress about her initiative.
