Caine Prize 2020: Nigerian writer Chikodili Emelumadu
Here's our third reading from this year's Caine prize for African Writing shortlist. Today鈥檚 reading is an excerpt from "What to do when your child brings home a Mami Wata" by Nigerian writer Chikodili Emelumadu. It鈥檚 about water spirits who take a human form, female or male, which the author calls 鈥淢ami Watas鈥 and 鈥淧api Watas鈥. The extract is read by Bilkisu Labaran.
