Here's our third reading from this year's Caine prize for African Writing shortlist. Today鈥檚 reading is an excerpt from "What to do when your child brings home a Mami Wata" by Nigerian writer Chikodili Emelumadu. It鈥檚 about water spirits who take a human form, female or male, which the author calls 鈥淢ami Watas鈥� and 鈥淧api Watas鈥�. The extract is read by Bilkisu Labaran.
