Simone Gbagbo on the upcoming Ivory Coast election
Simone Gbagbo, the Former Ivory Coast first lady and Vice President of the Ivorian Popular Front (FPI), says she has been prevented from contesting the country's upcoming polls. In this interview with 麻豆社's Valerie Bony, Mrs Gbagbo calls the situation in her country 'atrocious', saying elections are necessary but credible elections are 'impossible' as long as current president, Alassane Ouattara, is on the list of candidates.
