Focus on Africa meets Ruka Johnson, who has been selected as one of the BAFTA Breakthrough 2020 Stars by the prestigious British Academy of Film and Television Arts. The costume designer was recognised for her work on the 2019 crime drama film Blue Story, directed by Rapman. Ruka tells Bola Mosuro that there's much more to her job than people assume from the title.
