Malawi Covid-19: “Shocking and dark moment for the nation.â€
Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera says his country needs to mobilise $250 million to fight the worsening coronavirus situation in his country. There’s been a sharp rise in Covid-19 cases. Ninety people, including his two senior cabinet members, have died since the New Year. Three days of mourning and a State of National Disaster have since been declared due to the severity of the situation. President Chakwera explained the situation to Focus on Africa’s Veronique Edwards.
