Covid-19: The impact of school closures in Malawi
Focus on Africa鈥檚 Audrey Brown speaks to Joe Nyauti, a primary school teacher in Limbe in Malawi, who says 鈥渦p to now, life is still not OK鈥. He explains that school closures intended to halt the spread of Covid-19 have had a negative impact on both pupils and teachers. Learning has been interrupted, with many children lacking the means to study at home, whilst some educators at private schools have been receiving neither salaries nor assistance from the government.
