Ugandan politician Bobi Wine withdraws election petition
The Ugandan opposition leader, Robert Kyagulanyi - popularly known as Bobi Wine - says he is withdrawing his court case challenging the results of last month's presidential election. The outcome of the vote saw the incumbent, Yoweri Museveni, returned for a sixth term of office. Bobi Wine had asked the court to overturn the results on multiple grounds, including fraud and the widespread use of violence. But he told Focus on Africa's Bola Mosuro, that he was now withdrawing that challenge, and described the court as "one-sided and biased".
