Ivorian singer-songwriter Fely Tchaco on new album
Ivorian singer songwriter Leye Felicite Martin known to her fans as Fely Tchaco has released a new album 鈥淵ita鈥 which means Deep Water. Having left Ivory Coast several years ago, she now lives in San Francisco where she founded the African Arts Academy which aims to reconnect African Americans with the skills and art from the continent. She also wants to pay tribute to undocumented migrants and celebrate her Ivorian heritage. She told Jenny Horrocks about her journey and the inspiration behind the album.
