Cameroon bans “self-defence” guns
Cameroon has banned the possession and sale of “self-defence” guns, amid rising violence on several fronts in the country. The authorities say the prohibition is designed to curb violent crime, but some citizens say they are forced to take matters into their own hands because the state has failed to protect them.
