Congolese musician Tresor Riziki raises funds for Mount Nyiragongo victims
The Congolese musician, Tresor Riziki, has launched an appeal to raise funds to help highlight the plight of the
communities affected by the recent volcanic eruption of Mount Nyiragongo, near the city of Goma.
The appeal is in partnership with the UN refugee agency, the UNHCR, and will support their emergency response on the ground.
Last month's eruption killed dozens of people and left thousands homeless and in need of aid. Tresor Riziki, who was born in Goma, told Focus on Africa's Esau Williams that he has a voice and platform so had to step in to help.
