‘The Somali community in South Africa are very frightened’
Ramzi Mohamed Abdalla from the Somali Community Service of South Africa talks about how recent violence in the country has affected the Somali community. Somalia’s government has issued a statement expressing its concern about the riots and looting, during which four Somalis have been killed. Some Somali-owned businesses have been looted during the chaos, during which more than seventy people have been killed and one-thousand-two-hundred arrested in total.
