Pegasus spyware is a software widely used by governments to spy on the phones and electronic devices of journalists and activists worldwide. Recent research by Amnesty International and Forbidden Stories reveals how African 'high-profile figures' have also been targeted. Among them is the daughter of Paul Rusesabagina, an open critic of the government in Rwanda. Pete Jones, Investigations Editor at the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), says how it is done.
