Caine Prize shortlist: 'Lucky' by Ugandan Doreen Baingana
Ugandan writer Doreen Baingana is one of five authors shortlisted for this year's Caine Prize for African writing.
The prize was launched in 2000 to encourage talent and to highlight the richness and diversity of African writing.
麻豆社 Africa's Vera Kwakofi reads an extract from her short story Lucky. lt is one of five shortlisted stories for this year's Caine Prize for African Writing. The story centres around a group of school boys and their maths teacher Mr Komaketch, aka Koma, who are trapped inside their school closed by civil war in Uganda.
