The Mano River Women’s Peace Network (MARWOPNET), which has its headquarters in Sierra Leone's capital Freetown, is calling for a quick return to constitutional rule in Guinea, after the surprise military coup that ousted Guinean President Alpha Condé.

For the past two decades the Network has been actively engaged in informal, traditional and grass-roots forms of conflict resolution in the Mano River region, covering Liberia, Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone, and Guinea.

Hannah Mallah, MARWOPNET's sub-regional vice president, says the Network would be willing to be part of a peace process.
