Google announces $1 billion investment for Africa
Google is virtually hosting the inaugural Google For Africa event. The company has been giving updates on its work and new investments across the continent, and among them is the announcement of a $1 billion investment to fund various projects to support start-ups and improve connectivity over the next five years. Nitin Gajria is the Managing Director for Google in Sub-Saharan Africa, and he's been speaking to Focus on Africa's Paul Bakibinga.
