South Africa whistleblower: 'I left because I felt my life was in danger'
South African Athol Williams tells the 麻豆社's Esau Williams that he had to flee his country after being warned that his personal risk had "just shot through the roof". The Ethics lecturer had named powerful individuals, including former President Jacob Zuma, in his testimony to the state inquiry into massive corruption and fraud allegations.
Speaking on Focus on Africa, Mr Williams said there is no protection from the state and the killing of another whistleblower had left him in fear of his life.
