During the pandemic, open water swimming became a popular hobby for those wanting to get outdoors. But would you want to go wild swimming in the middle of winter?
Hayley Dorian is a cold water swimmer who set up Wild Sea Women to help women embrace the cold of the North Sea, and Dr Heather Massey works in the Extreme Environments Lab at the University of Portsmouth. They joined Emma Barnett on Woman’s Hour to discuss the benefits of swimming in cold water and how people can get involved.
