Tigray: ‘We were trying to hide’
A resident of Mekelle, capital of Ethiopia’s Tigray region, tells Focus on Africa about daily life there. Local residents and aid workers say federal government forces have killed dozens of people using drones, as they continue to battle TPLF rebels – claims which the Â鶹Éç has not been able to verify independently. The United Nations says that Tigray stands on the edge of a humanitarian disaster due to the conflict, with millions of people in the region in need of food assistance.
