Central African Republic's former top lawyer awarded for her 'courage'
The ex-president of the Constitutional Court of the Central African Republic, Professor Dani猫le Darlan, has revealed how Russian officials repeatedly approached her to ask for a change in the constitution that would allow President Faustin-Archange Touadera to run for a third term.
Professor Darlan's "courage" in not bowing to pressure and defending her nation's constitution was recently awarded with recognition by the US State Department as part of International Women Day celebrations.
