Kenyan protests are 'economic terrorism' says trade minister

Kenya's Cabinet Secretary for Trade, Investments and Industry has described recent nationwide anti-government demonstrations in his country as "economic terrorism". Moses Kuria says the protests, which have been led by opposition leader Raila Odinga, should be responded to with "zero tolerance".

Mr Kuria, who was in London to discuss trade deals with the UK, also addressed the 'China Square' controversy in his country over Chinese-owned businesses selling cheap household goods. He says there are new conversations with the Chinese about developing "a win-win relationship" that is beneficial to all parties.
