Kenya: Kisumu's governor leads opposition protests in his county
The governor of Kenya's Kisumu county, Peter Anyang Nyong鈥檕, has been at the forefront of anti-government demonstrations called by the opposition.
Hundreds of people in the capital, Nairobi, and other parts of the country, have been rallying against the high cost of living and alleged electoral malpractices.
Governor Anyang Nyong鈥檕, who has been leading protesters in the opposition stronghold Kisumu, tells Focus on Africa they are expressing their disgust at the way the 2022 general election was conducted, and at what he describes as "the rising dictatorship" of President Ruto.
