“Our goalkeeper is 80 years oldâ€
In March 2023, South Africa hosted the first Grannies Soccer World Cup. It brought together over 10 teams from around the world, including from Zambia, Zimbabwe and Malawi, made up of women over 55 years of age.
We hear from two of the woman, Flora, 66, from South Africa and Lily, 52, from Zambia who competed in the tournament. They tell us what inspires them to get out on the pitch.
