Bromsgrove man: 'Help me find a new voice'
Christian Wilson says he no longer wants to sound like a 'cyborg' with his text-to-speech software, and is searching for a new voice to share the same accent as his late father.
A University of Worcester student with verbal dyspraxia, Christian says that he is looking for people to submit recordings of their voice, and alongside a specialist firm, will turn in the new voice that comes out of the tablet he uses to communicate with other people.
He tells Tammy Gooding that he is particularly after 'a Birmingham accent with a Warwickshire twang', which would mean his father's voice 'could live on through me'.
The Univerisy say that any submissions of recordings are welcome, with emails to be send to findmyvoicecw@outlook.com, with an example voice recording of 鈥渉ello, my name is Christian and it鈥檚 great to meet you. I study at the University of Worcester, and I live in the Midlands" attached.
