Police officers 'punch bags' in 'epidemic' of violence
Attacks on the police happen on average 100 times a day in the UK, the 麻豆社 has found.
Officers say they are used to being punched and kicked, but assaults have become more frequent 鈥 and more extreme.
The Home Office says 鈥淎ny assault on a member of the police workforce is a criminal offence."
鈥淭hose convicted of assaulting an emergency worker can face up to two years鈥 imprisonment, with escalating sentences for more serious incidents.鈥
