A new vision for Worcester's Debenhams
The old building on Worcester's High Street could be transformed in to an 'aparthotel' complete with an independent restaurant rooftop bar, according to architects, who have filed a pre-planning application.
The department store closed for good in 2021 when the company went into liquidation. There were originally plans for an Artisan Food Hall on the location, but this never materialised.
Nick Carroll, who has been designing the plans, says a global retailer has been secured for the bottom of the building, with plans set to be made public before the year's end.
Felicity Kvesic reports.
