Small Player, Big Director: 'Conclave's' Edward Berger on his new film, 'Ballad of a Small Player.'
He's been a big player in recent award seasons with his films All Quiet on The West Front and Conclave, which won Oscars.
Now German filmmaker Edward Berger is back, with a second English language feature.
Ballad of a Small Player is set in the gambling casinos of Macau, and has a critically acclaimed performance from Colin Farrell.
It showed at the recent BFI London Film Festival, where Alan Moloney met Edward Berger, and the cast, for Talking Movies.
