Train Dreams' Oscar Nominated Cinematographer Explains his Vision for the Film
It's been acclaimed as one of the most hauntingly visual films of the year, and the cinematographer of 'Train Dreams', Adolpho Veloso, has become the first Brazilian to be Oscar-nominated in that category. In total, the movie has four Oscar nominations, including for Best Picture.
Veloso has also been given a Film Independent Spirit Award for Best Cinematography, while the film also picked up Best Feature and Best Director at that ceremony.
In the film, Joel Edgerton plays a man who lives a quiet yet extraordinary life in the American wilderness, which gave Veloso a chance to film stunning natural landscapes.
