Netherton鈥檚 Titanic Anchor

The anchor of the ill-fated Titanic was manufactured in Netherton.

The ill-fated ship sank on 15th April 1912 on its鈥� maiden voyage.

The ship鈥檚 anchor 鈥� at the time the largest in the world - was made in Netherton by the manufacturing firm Noah Hingley & Sons.

A lifesize, commemorative replica of the anchor now stands in Netherton town centre.
