Documentary 'Jail Time Records' Shows Transforming Power of Music in African Jail
It's a documentary about what's believed to be the first recording studio inside an African prison, and this month 'Jail Time Records' won three prizes at the Tribeca Festival in New York, including for Best Documentary Feature. The movie, shot over several years at the overcrowded New Bell Prison in Cameroon, shows the transformative power of music. Now its directors hope to show the film to the inmates. Tom Brook met the filmmakers for 麻豆社 Talking Movies.
