What is cyclr?
Cyclr is an online social marketplace for the everyday cyclist. Users don鈥檛 simply buy products; they can learn, discover and interact with brands. Users can also post their own cycling products for sale in the easy-to-use platform and share their cycling inspirations with the Cyclr community. Cyclr鈥檚 aim is to inspire cycling communities everywhere.
Cyclr鈥檚 origin is a blog entitled Bicycle Basecamp. Two years ago a serious cycling collision left Gerry bedridden for three months. An avid cyclist, Gerry couldn鈥檛 resist interacting in the cycling community, as a result; he created Bicycle Basecamp. The idea was to inspire cyclists with products, which weren鈥檛 commonly available in mass-market outlets. Two years later Bicycle Basecamp reaches 15,000 cyclists each month and has over 4000 followers on Twitter. Gerry realized the blog wasn鈥檛 enough. He needed to provide Bicycle Basecamp followers with a service they demanded鈥擟yclr. Cyclr will be the rider鈥檚 paradise.
Gerry says "Be Your Own Boss gave me the confidence to believe in myself. I always believed the business idea was credible but sometimes wondered whether I possessed the confidence to really succeed. The Be your own boss experience has given me the confidence to move forward with my idea and make it reality".
