There are hopes that a deal between Ukraine and Russia to allow the export of Ukrainian grains via Black Sea ports will ease food shortages in Africa. Ukraine is a huge grain producer, but the Russian invasion of the country has disrupted exports, leading to higher food prices in many parts of the world.

Plus, the head of the United States Agency for International Development, Samantha Power, is in east Africa, as the region struggles with its worst drought in 70 years.

And the world鈥檚 first vaccination campaign against Hepatitis E has seen around 25,000 people inoculated at a camp for displaced people in South Sudan.
