Nigerian lecturers suspend eight-month strike

Lecturers in Nigeria鈥檚 universities have suspended strike action which began eight months ago.

Nigerian lecturers have agreed to resume lessons, after calling off an eight-month strike. They were demanding better funding for universities, more facilities and an improved pay system among other issues.

The IMF's director for Africa says countries in sub-Saharan Africa have been hit much harder than expected by the global economic slowdown.

And the Resident Presidents are troubled by online internet scams.
