Zimbabwe to address genocide

Zimbabwe has begun a process to listen to the concerns of survivors of the genocide.

Zimbabwe has launched a programme to engage with families impacted by the 1980s military operation dubbed Gukurahundi - that mainly targeted opposition strongholds - and resulted in up to 20,000 people in Matabeleland killed by Zimbabwean forces.

We hear from people in northern Kenya who are simultaneously battling with droughts and flooding. While the region is facing one of the worst droughts in living memory, Kenya's Lake Turkana is flooding - which is destroying homes and claiming lives.

The government in Somalia has threatened sanctions against businesses that pay taxes to al-Shabab, looking to choke a lucrative cash pipeline the Islamist militants use to fund a deadly insurgency.
