M23 rebels ready to withdraw from occupied areas in DRC

A statement from M23 rebels also said they support efforts towards and a lasting solution to the instability in eastern DR Congo.

The M23 rebels, one of the main fighting groups in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, have said that they are ready to withdraw from territories the region, in line with a peace agreement reached in Angola. We hear from the group's spokesperson.

A Congolese mother is reunited with her two young children after they became separated as they fled the fighting in eastern DRC. She tells us about the joy of reunification at a camp for displaced people outside Goma.

And Ghana is in talks with the UK to send nurses to Britain in return for £1000 ($1222) per nurse. We hear from the Ghanaian Nurses’ Association on the impact this exchange have on the country’s own nursing needs.
