Protesters killed in attack on UN convoy in DR Congo

Three protesters were killed on Tuesday during an attack on a UN convoy in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, the UN said in a statement.

The UN peacekeeping force in the Democratic Republic of Congo says it will investigate the deaths of three people who were killed during protests in the east.

As the death toll in Turkey and Syria passes 11,000 people, we hear from the South African based Gift of the Givers on the latest efforts to rescue survivors of earthquakes earlier this week.
