Three people killed in anti-UN protests in DR Congo

The protesters were killed on Tuesday during an attack on a UN convoy in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, the UN said in a statement.

The UN peacekeeping force in the Democratic Republic of Congo says it will investigate the deaths of three people who were killed during protests in the east.

Nigeria’s top court suspends the deadline – already extended – to swap and stop using old naira bank notes, amid the chaos of banks not having enough of the new currency.

And thousands of Nigerian refugees have begun returning home from northern Cameroon. Many of them have spent up to a decade in the Minawao refugee camp, after escaping Boko Haram violence in their villages.
