A three-day amnesty for people to turn illegal guns in to the authorities has ended in Kenya’s Rift Valley region.
A three-day amnesty for people to turn illegal guns in to the authorities has ended in Kenya’s Rift Valley region. President Ruto ordered a joint police and military operation in North Rift Valley earlier this week, after an increase in banditry in the area.
Plus, Nigeria’s president Muhammadu Buhari has announced a 60-day extension for people to exchange old Naira banknotes for new currency. There have been long queues and some unrest at banks due to a shortage of new notes.
