APC's Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been declared the winner in Nigeria's presidential elections.

APC's Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been declared the winner in Nigeria's presidential elections. Official results show the 70-year-old got 37% of the vote. His main rival Atiku Abubakar polled 29%, and Labour's Peter Obi 25%.

The French president, Emmanuel Macron, is heading off on a tour of Central Africa with a visit to Gabon, as France reshapes its strategy on the continent.

Namibia is reeling from the biggest corruption scandal since independence 33 years ago, widely known as Fishrot. Prominent politicians and businessmen have been charged with racketeering and fraud.
